Brownie Girl Scout Programs:

Eco-Explorer - Learn what ecology means, hike the trail searching for living  and non-living and learn all about food chains during your time at the center.  Plus learn how to make an animal habitat.

Space Explorers - Stargaze in the Planetarium as you learn how to identify some of the constellations in our night sky.  By the end of the program you will understand how a sundial tells time.  We will also make a “constellation-in-a-can” to take home.

Plants - Discover the world of botany and learn about the importance of plants to insects and wildlife as we explore the trails for unique vines, shrubs, and trees. You will begin a leaf collection and create beautiful leaf rubbings of your own to take home.

Junior Girl Scout Programs:

Earth Connections- Learn what an ecosystem is and how different plants and animals have adapted to survive in Southwest Florida .  We will use the Enviroscape Model to demonstrate what pollution can  to an ecosystem.

Wildlife - What makes an animal or plant endangered? Come find out some of the local plants and animals that we can keep from becoming extinct, and  then meet and endangered species.  We’ll go on a walk to identify poisonous  plants and animals that can be beneficial to humans.

Sky Search - Beneath the Planetarium dome, listen to some constellation stories as we learn how to identify the North Star and how it can help us  find other things in the night sky.  We will make a planisphere to take  home. If you choose to do an evening program, an additional half hour of telescope viewing can be added for $30 extra.

Cadet and Senior Girl Scout Programs:

Looking for a service project for your Silver or Gold Award, call the Nature Center we can help.

Eco-Action - Come explores ways to be environmentally friendly in your house, school and neighborhood.  What is involved in working at a nature center and what other jobs are related.
