Brownie
Girl Scout Programs:
Eco-Explorer
- Learn what ecology means, hike the trail searching
for living and
non-living and learn all about food chains during
your time at the center.
Plus learn how to make an animal habitat.
Space
Explorers - Stargaze in the Planetarium as
you learn how to identify some of the constellations
in our night sky.
By the end of the program you will understand
how a sundial tells time.
We will also make a “constellation-in-a-can”
to take home.
Plants
- Discover the world of botany and
learn about the importance of plants to insects and
wildlife as we explore the trails for unique vines,
shrubs, and trees. You will begin a leaf collection
and create beautiful leaf rubbings of your own to
take home.

Junior
Girl Scout Programs:
Earth
Connections- Learn what an ecosystem is and
how different plants and animals have adapted to survive
in Southwest Florida .
We will use the Enviroscape Model to demonstrate
what pollution can
to an ecosystem.
Wildlife
- What makes an animal or plant endangered? Come find
out some of the local plants and animals that we can
keep from becoming extinct, and then
meet and endangered species.
We’ll go on a walk to identify poisonous plants
and animals that can be beneficial to humans.
Sky
Search - Beneath the Planetarium dome, listen
to some constellation stories as we learn how to identify
the North Star and how it can help us find
other things in the night sky.
We will make a planisphere to take home.
If you choose to do an evening program, an additional
half hour of telescope viewing can be added for $30
extra. |

and Senior Girl Scout Programs:

Eco-Action
- Come explores ways to be environmentally
friendly in your house, school and neighborhood.
What is involved in working at a nature center
and what other jobs are related.
Space
Exploration - How are the moon and the sun
related to the earth?
View a planetarium show and find out about
careers related to space.
If you choose to do an evening program, an
additional half hour of telescope viewing can be added
for $20 extra.

The
cost for these one-hour programs, including admission
to the Center, is $50 for up to 15 girls.
Each additional girl is $3.00, additional adults
are $7 each.
Each group must have a minimum of 2 adults.

you have a special request for a badge you want to
earn, call in advance and we will design a program
if possible.
