Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium Celebrates
Earth and Space Day 2012
Ft Myers - The Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium will be hosting their annual celebration of Earth and Space on Saturday, April 21, 2012, from 10am-5pm.
Activities include:
- Free admission for all children accompanied by a paying adult
- Earth and Space activities, including plants, recycled crafts, and hands-on activities
- Solar viewing with our Solar Telescope, weather permitting
- Summer Camp Preview, samples of our 11 weeks of summer fun
- Live animal programs and planetarium shows
- Showing of Mother Nature's Child: Growing Outdoors in the Media Age, a documentary featuring Richard Louv, author of Last Child in the Woods
- Junior Naturalists participating in the Great American Cleanup at Billy's Creek with Keep Lee County Beautiful and the Friends of Billy's Creek
"Earth and Space Day is every day at Calusa Nature Center!" according to Executive Director Mary Rawl.
